This will be a daily log on the happenings of the Mormon Church. I will share my opinions and viewpoints without holding back. The Mormon Church is a fraud and I will be exposing them on a daily basis. They can run and cover up but they can't hide from the "REAL TRUTH!!" Have no fear, the truth is here!!

Van Hale Will Be Broadcasting His Interview With Helen Whitney Today, Who Is The Writer, Producer & Director Of The Mormon PBS Documentary.
MP3 File
As much as I hate to advertise Van Hale's program, due to my very low opinion of him and the very deceitful way he deals with people, specifically how he dealt with me and posted all of our private correspondence, without permission, that put me in a bad light, leaving out the last Email(which I asked him to post with no response whatsoever) I sent him, which exposed and put him in a bad light; I felt that I needed to let all Mormon Truth readers out there know that he was going to broadcast his interview with Helen Whitney today, who is the driving force behind the Documentary on Mormons, that will air on PBS tomorrow, April 30 and May 1.
I'm sure that it will be somewhat of a love fest between the 2, as Van Hale is a hopeless, pathetic, Mormon apologist and Helen Whitney seems smitten by the Mormon cult in the interviews she's done so far. Maybe she'll get baptized Mormon and Van Hale can baptize her?
However, I'm sure Van Hale will be outraged at any negative points in the documentary and eager to explain it all away with his typical brand of nonsense and deceit that he spews weekly. So, maybe this interview will suck big time and be of no value whatsoever, but at least you guys will know about it and have the chance to listen to it if you so chose.
Here is part of what was included in the weekly Email I get from Van Hale, the pathetic, deceitful, Mormon apologist, regarding this show:
Mormon Miscellaneous World-Wide Talk Show
Date: Sunday, 29 April 2007
Subject: I will be discussing the two part PBS movie "The Mormons" which will air 30 April and 1 May. Helen Whitney, the producer, director and writer will not be with me live, but I will be recording an interview 28 April which I will broadcast 29 April.
She is a film maker for PBS who has spent 3 years making this film. A DVD was sent to me to preview. While there are some points with which I would disagree, I was very favorably impressed with it and recommend it as a worthwhile documentary on Mormon history and belief. It deals with a number of controversial topics including: Mormon beginnings, problems in Kirtland, Missouri and Nauvoo, polygamy, the Mountain Meadows Massacre, and Mormon dissidents. Other topics include: the westward trek, transition from the 19th to the 21st century, the missionary system, welfare program, the response to Katrina, and LDS growth in Africa.
Personally, I would describe it as educational, moving, even-handed and overall, very positive. Whitney has crafted an informative and moving work by weaving together narration, numerous interviews with a number of authors, experts and students of Mormonism representing various perspectives, with many pictures and film clips.
From the PBS summary at www.pbs.org/mormons/ "...the film will explore the richness, the complexities, and the controversies of the Mormons' story as told through interviews with leaders and members of the church, with leading writers and historians, and with supporters and critics of the Mormon faith."
This pbs.org site includes some comments and summary of the program, a 6 minute trailer, and information to find the stations and times where "The Mormons" can be viewed. In Utah it will be broadcast on both KBYU and KUED, 30 April and 1 May at 8:00 pm.
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm MST
Host: Van Hale
Radio Station: KTKK 630 AM, Salt Lake City

Samuel the Utahnite
Hi Samuel and fellow bloggers ,
ReplyDeleteIts great to see you are still 'active' .... I'm still investigating the church , however as you know I've realised its not true . I keep going to church to keep my connection with mormons and the missionaries .Over 18 month of friendship is hard to throw away in one sudden swoop. I can see how people find it difficult to quit even if they know its false .There is alot to loose , friends , family , spouses etc
I'm lucky , my ties are not as critical .
The missionaries are great kids just like you were on your mission , so I like them to learn from me . I give 95% to them teaching me ( if you can call it that ) and I give back 5% of what I know to be truth , and you can bet that my 5% is very powerfull indeed !!
I have new missionaries each time and after the initial suspicion of each other ,we gain trust and friendship and I'm able to show them that I'm a straight up honest guy who just wants real truth and not lies .
I was able to show them the head in the hat the other day. This is a good one to show each new missionary as they are stunnned! They must wonder how can this be ??? after all they have been taught in Seminary and all the other classes about an Urim and Thummim and breastplate ?
Its nice to be able to show them things without appearing confrontational.. In return I go to church , although I've been promoted out of Gospel Principles ( Investigators Class) and into the adult Bible class ......
They decided that Milk is no good for me .... and the pressure to get baptised is off now . It seems I'm able to learn without pressure now ( finally after 18 months ) but its not the case for most converts as they are rushed to the baptisimal font .
I think alot about those who have spent their lives in the church only to have their belief shattered . Where can they go they ask ?
Organisations like this need to be held acountable for the pain and family stress they inflict .
I get fed up hearing tithe testimonies , how paying tithing brings financial blessings . One testified that as a result of paying tithe she got a refund for an overpaid Gas bill and Over paid Tax bill as well . But we all know the real reason she got these refunds , they were owed to her because she had overpaid !!! Non tithe paying Pagans and infidels would have got a refund too !! Its so obvious that I can't believe members are attributing it to tithe .It just a mockery of common sense many times .
Why don't they just admit that paying tithe is a great way to fund a church you love. Its a sacfrifice but worth it if you love your church .End of story .
The next bit of what she said scared me . She said she makes sure she keeps the church commandments so she isn't split from her family after death . This was painful to hear , these people really believe that God will part them from their loved ones if they don't follow the mormon church ? It was Sad to hear ....

I would agree to you, Joseph, though this happens in every Christian church.
Some years ago, I went to an evangelical student group, and they had a weekly prayer-breakfast meeting. Again and again they thanked God for all the things they had and got.
"Thank God for our breakfast."
"Thank God for my new girlfriend"
"Thank God I have found a job."
etc.
I mean, it's no wonder:
Western rich kids from comparably well to do families of course have all they need.
On the other hand, what do you pray if you don't have what you need?
If everything goes wrong?
If you dont have a job, a girlfriend, something to eat, a place to sleep.
If you thank God for all the good things, you must also condemn/curse him for the bad things, that would only be logical.
But that's what they don't do.
So, this skewed view is not a specialty of Mormonism but can be found in most Christian churches.

OMG, test post! This is Marie Miller from Littlerock, Arkansas. I just wanted to tell you that I'm a BiG FaN! Yes, a BIG FAN! That is all.
ReplyDeleteIM BACK!
Misfit M.
P.S. I saw that damned special. More thoughts later. Hmph.
Well I watched the PBS documentary . One You tube Mormon told me his ward were told of its screening and that they would find it interesting !
ReplyDeleteI think they certainly would find it interesting .The program was well researched and I found that it confirmed alot of the things which put me off while investigating .
When I read the Book Of Mormon , I could see Joseph Smith's life and experience( as well as my own search in christianity ) narrated through the various characters . Lawyers , Athiests, Doubters , Skeptics .. they are all in there . Then the other thing I noticed was lots of King James Version sentences and chapters .. Its so obvious to me it was writen by someone who new his bible....
Grant Palmers book " An Insiders view of Mormon Origins " confirmed to me my own findings and more ..
At least some are willing to speak out ... Truth is an amazing thing because it always comes out in the end no matter how much some try to hide it ..

PS At the end of the day its actually pure fiction ,but it seems to convert drunkards and other lost people into the religion and give them a purpose to life .... If Jw's got there first then they'd have probably joined them instead .
Recomending Van hale twice !!!, Ok where is the real Samuel???
ReplyDeleteI want to hear your story. I want to hear what happened with your family and friends when you left the church. How many of your siblings/parents/friends stopped talking to you please. Let me know. I'm quite curious! I have been listening to your podcast all day!
ReplyDeleteHi Utahnite
ReplyDeleteI seriously don't know what's the purpose of your "great work" prosecuting Mormons and people like me.
If you think the Lord God will give you a reward, then you are totally wrong.
If you think you are the best of us, and the only person without sin, and you are better in God's eyes, then I must upset you. You are not.
Mormons may hurt people by what they are doing. But you do the same. So what makes you better.
I bet, if I you lived, in Jesus' times, you'd be writing the same bullshit about the whore, which Jesus forgave and told her not to sin no more, like you are writing about me or other Mormons.
Do you think, this is what will bring you reward?
You aren't any better than all Mormons taken all together. In your words there is so much hatreds and evil that you are exactly like them.
Remember Utahnite, what goes around, comes around, so beware lest you would be next pedophile on TV news and someone else will put your story on YouTube.
As for me. I don't care what you are doing out there. I'm far away from you and this world sick with child abuse paranoia, and thank goodness, in our coutry we don't make 12 year old children to register as sex offenders, like you are doing in USA.
And we don't arrest 7 graders and don't put them on sex offenders register for pinching their female classmates buttocks.
If you think that's ok, then you are screwed like everyone else who lives in US but as for us Ukrainians, such "laws" will never come to our land...
You guys went to far, and one day enough will be enough, just wait. Another revolution will come and religious freaks like you, who caused sex offenders paranoia will pay for hurting so many innocent people and children...
I feel really bad for you guys that have fallen away from the church I don't know what I would do without the gospel.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThis is about the sadess thing I have come across! If the LDS Church is not a good place for you than go find a place where you feel happy! The energy you are spending to try and destroy something I feel is going to be your biggest down fall. Look for something you feel great about and let go of all your hatred and unkindness! Forgiveness IS the greatest gift we can give OURSELVES. Forgive, let go and find a church where you can worship the way YOU think is best for you and your family!
Get a life!
ReplyDeleteYou know you say on this web site that the Church of Latter Day Saints is so awful.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you hare driven by such Hate. You need to look in the mirror and see what you look like to the people who visit this site.
Most folks I know think the Mormons are good people who do much good in the world.
Wow I didn't even realize that there are sites like this that perpetuate lies and deceit. I feel sorry for this guy who started this site and everybody who has read this junk. This guy obviously has no idea what he is talking about, for someone to have 30 years invested with his family also i'm sure to throw it all away because of things that he had problems with or getting excommunicated. Man, you know there is always a way back, Christ says that over and over again in the scriptures that i'm sure you don't read anymore or pray. It's the little things that you don't do anymore that take you on Your Journey as you called it. These are classic Satanistic principles that you are spreading, good luck, you will need it.
ReplyDeletenobody on earth has been as hateful and closed-minded as you are, Samuel. if you weren't, you wouldn't continually attack this church. its hard to believe that you could be so persistent in such a meaningless cause. this church will not fall. it will continue to grow and teach whether you like it or not
ReplyDeleteif you think making a big huss and posting tons of anti-Mormon documentary is going to lead us away from the church, then you're dead wrong. it's because of people like you, i have an indestructible testimony. it just makes me sad how low you've become and to what great lengths you're going to to disprove the church, even after you served a mission and been a member for all those years. if you're really so open-minded, then stop attacking this church
i am a Mormon, and i couldn't be happier. this gospel is the foundation of my life. i finished my 2-year mission to Italy less than a year ago, and my testimony couldn't be stronger. i would die to keep this church alive, and thats my choice
Samuel, it gives me much sadness in my heart for you and for how far you have drifted from the truth that you once loved and believed in. I hope that you find peace and forgiveness in this journey you say you are on. I hope that the Lord softens your heart and takes away all this hatred you hold in it and replace it back with the truth that you know deep down inside is true and i hope this reality you have created to help you feel better for your shortcomings gives you the same love and fulfilment that the gospel once did. Coz if it isnt then why do you continue. Im a mormon and I forgive you and altho I dont know u I love you for I feel so much pain for you my lost brother. Find your your way back to the truth and be happy. Do if for yourself and your family and friends. As Im sure it must be hard for them to be around someone that was once so full of love and life Im sure to someone who is now driven by hatred and bitterness in his heart. Find your way back my brother. And I wish you the best on your journey. I hope you dont feel the Lords wrath and that he choses to forgive you for going against everything that is building his kingdom. we4forgivutahnite luvs ya bro !!!
ReplyDeleteyou really need to re-learn what you knew before. if the church was really as bad as you're making it, you definitely wouldn't have stayed in it for that long. you always have the freedom to choose what you believe.
ReplyDeletemusical_mormon@hotmail.com
please, e-mail me, and i will talk with you about it. my main goal isn't to re-convert you or anything. i just want you to realize that what you are doing is dishonorable, destructive, and hostile. just as you can't achieve world peace by bombing other countries, you can't achieve peace between religions by bashing others
even if the church was fake which it isnt the good that people do cause of it is something we should all do the lds church was the first to act on hurricaine katrina and they're are dozens of charities that the church organizes you can overlook the beliefs if you want but you can't overlook the goodness and service that comes of it
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to what you do beleive now that you are so sure of what you dont. But I would imagine that there is no time for beleiving things yourself when you are trying so hard to destroy others beleifs. I find it interesting that you would say this message cant posibly be towards educated people. A university level study found that mormons are the only people who the more educated they become the more active they are in the church.
ReplyDeleteI'm very interested to find out what you do believe in these days. Have you joined another religion, or have you rejected organized religion altogether?
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very blatant about what you don't believe in anymore, but says nothing about what you do believe in.
Also, and I apologize if I've missed it on your blog, but what exactly was it that made you begin to change your way of thinking? You state that a few years ago you came to realize the church is a fraud, but I haven't seen what specifically caused you to change your beliefs. Were you publicly called out for not doing your home teaching? Were you passed over for the Sunday School President (the calling everyone wants)? Were you rejected from the local clique? Or did the bishop not shake your hand one day? What exactly was it that inspired you to go on a personal quest to destroy the church?
And, thank you for doing what you do. I love to read about people like you...your endless drivel and immature statements towards the church are always good for a laugh. By the way, drivel means to talk childishly or idioticially. And, your misinterpretation of what almost everyone says is nothing short of hysterical. How you misintepret so badly what is said leads one to believe that you are nothing short of a cretin.
If you put half as much time of what you spend towards spewing your hatred into something productive, you could seriously solve 95% of society's problems. Crime rates would fall dramatically; global warming would be solved; you'd discover cures for AIDS, cancer, Alzheimer's and many other illnesses; you'd be able to figure out women; you'd be able to bring together the Jews and Muslims adn they'd live side by side in peace; you'd solve the world's energy issues and oil would drop to pennies a barrel; and, you'd figure out how to bring peace to the entire world. You'd be nothing short of the world's hero. Oh well, carry on with your endless babble and see how far that gets you.
